I keep wondering, how reinvented eMail for myself apparently.
In the last few weeks, I’m having the tendency to chat-mail or whatever you want to call it. Maybe it’s something that twitter done with my way to communicate. My chat-mails are not particularly long, but significantly longer then a twitter message. Still, it’s strange to use mail as a asynchronous chat.
Somehow I’m not as attrackted to filling up a new blog as I assumed. Strange.
Before I’ve started writing this post, I had actually the wish to blog something else, but I didn’t want to be writing something intelligent …
… that I’m with Linux again. It’s not Gentoo like in the years before, but an openSUSE 11 with KDE 4.1.
It’s a marvelous systems and not only from a technicians point of view. The look&feel did improve a lot and I don’t think that there is any need for KDE to hide behind the backs of the big players - OS X and Vista.
But. Yes, there is a but. I have to admit the fact, that the idea behind “plug&play” is not working out that well. There virtually no limits to what one can adjust, but this is sometimes a flaw and not a feature.
Still, Linux and especially KDE is ready to be a mainstream product and there is no reason for anybody to not use an open system.
Strange, I should have had the idea to start a tumblr blog before. Well, I didn’t, but here it is. As the description is saying: It will be not a permanent place of online residence for me, but it might last longer then I’m willing to admit right now.
You never know.
